If children live with criticism

they learn to condemn;

(Nếu con cái phải sống với sự chỉ trích chê bai thì lớn lên chúng sẽ thành những người cay nghiệt hay lên án người khác) 

If children live with hostility

they learn to fight;

(Nếu trẻ em sống phải sống với thù hận thì khi lớn lên chúng sẽ hay đánh nhau) 

If children live with ridicule

they learn to be shy;

(Nếu con cái luôn bị chế nhạo thì chúng sẽ trở thành người tự ti.)

If children live with shame

they learn to feel guilty;

(Nếu con cái phải sống trong tủi nhục thì chúng sẽ luôn có cảm giác tội lỗi)
